This is a Gruen Veri-Thin Precision wristwatch. It runs, sets and keeps good time. I was unable to snap the back off so do not know the model number or number of jewels. The Veri-Thin wristwatches were made from 1938 to 1957. The stainless steel case including winder is 31mm wide. The dial has 12 Arabic numerals in gold. The hands are also gold colored. It is engraved on the back "To Dr. M.F. From A Grateful Patient". It appears the patient engraved it himself. It has a period "Glen" stretch band in stainless steel. The crystal is cracked. Similar watches on eBay, nothing exact, are listed for $250 to $300. Priced here for quick sale.
Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age.
