Original Victorian cast iron fireplace surround and grate insert/panels - painted black

Some signs of corrosion so would benefit from a refurb and repainting. Bottom of grate also has a some iron missing (see photos 7,8,9))

Currently installed in my Victorian basement but will be removed this weekend.it looks like the surround will split into 4 parts (2x legs, 1 x horizontal section and 1 x mantelpiece)

Collection only due to size and weight.

Dimensions overall h1230mm x w 1275 x 170mm

Opening size excluding grate and panels h1040 x w975mm

Grate width with panels 910mm panel height 500mm.

UPDATE FOLLOWING REMOVAL 04/03

Unfortunately the fireplace did not come out as cleanly as I’d hoped. Please see updated photos showing the issues described below:

• The right leg snapped at the shoulder. It is a clean break and could be reattached upon installation

• The left leg had small corner break off. Again this is a clean break so shpild reattach without too much trouble

• The bottom grate completely fell apart and is probably not salvageable.

• The left shelf piece snapped on the back corner. This should reattach.
