Rare WWI Antique 1918 Creagh-Osborne Mark VII Model E Marching Compass is Nicely Made Leather Belt Compass

DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.   Really nice compass with steel body.  Nice khaki field paint/color.  Still has the original INSTRUCTION SHEET.  Has tested date written in old pencil handwriting "4-12-18".   Has item name, Creagh-Osborne Marching Compass, along with manufacturer, The Sperry Gyroscope Co., Brooklyn, NY.

Fits in a custom made sturdy case, nicely stitched, with belt loop and belt hooks to attach to a belt.   Has a snap cover.  A little wear to part of the leather flap as would be expected from use, and the front part of flap is missing.

Compass is perfect, with arrow that moves freely as it should, although internal parts appear cloudy and non-functional.  Probably could be cleaned/repaired.

Has a great look and would be a great part of a WWI collection.   A very unusual item that a private doughboy would have brought over with him!!!
