A very good example of one of the last MGB Limited Editions with tons of history

The last 1,000 MGBs were completed in October 1980 and designated the Limited Edition.

Just 420 of them were Roadsters so they are not something you see every day.

This particular LE, presented in the typical bronze metallic paintwork with orange/brown/black trim, rolled out of the factory in November 1980 and was first registered in Yorkshire, according to the Heritage Certificate on file.

The first owner appears to have clocked up about 60,000 miles in it, while having it regularly serviced until it changed hands for the first time in about 1990.

Bills on file record a considerable amount of work done then by MG specialists, Kimber Classic Ltd, which included a new hood, boot panel, rear wing, front wings, re-trimming in places and a respray.

Services are further recorded at 66,000, 80,000, 98,688, 99,310 and 101,100 miles bringing it right up to 2019 with about its 7th keeper. The wire wheels were fitted in approximately 2022.

The last owner purchased the car in February 2023 and has had a tow bar fitted, new radiator, new clutch, refilled front seat foams, new rubber seals around the windscreen and the hood and frame has been amended to fit more snugly.

The extensive history file has various previous logbooks, MOTs and a great bundle of bills going back many years.

It is only being offered for sale due to ill health and presents a great opportunity to own one of the very last MGBs.
