This is a stunning watch with a mesmerising blue enamel dial.  This rare  limited-edition model is inspired by contemporary Japanese artistry and is the third collaboration between Seiko Presage and the animated films from Studio Ghibli.

The watch is powered by the in-house mechanical 6R51 movement which is accurate to +25 to -15 seconds per day and has a 72-hour power reserve.

This limited-edition model comes with its own special edition box. Only 1500 pieces of this watch were produced and are now all sold out worldwide!!

This design is inspired by the Japanese post-apocalyptic animé fantasy film ‘Nausicäa of the Valley of the Wind’ and resonates with its plot of preserving the planet and living in harmony with nature.

Several of the watch design features echo the film’s iconography – under a dual-curve sapphire crystal glass the dial is a blue enamel in the same colour as Nausicäa’s iconic dress in the film. The glass exhibition caseback features gold ion plating, as a homage to the film quote “clothed in blue robes, descending onto a golden field” – words which are engraved on the case back. The nature scene printed onto the glass emphasises one of the film’s key themes of our coexistence with nature. The blue glass crown is designed to resemble the eyes of ‘Ohmu’ giant insect characters, whilst the Ohmu silhouette features on the underside of the brown calf leather strap. The leather is sourced from an LWG-certified tannery, in keeping with the film’s ecological values.

As this is a limited edition watch, it's value is only likely to go up over time so it makes for a great investment as well as look good on your wrist.
