When i bought this bike the big pieces were loosely put together and the rest was in cardboard boxes.

I built it up and replaced or repaired parts as necessary.  It took a few kicks to start it but it runs and rides. I've only taken it round the block to check that it runs through the gears. I'm in my seventies and I find it a bit much to handle now! I'm more of a tinkerer than a rider these days. It will no doubt need more fettling after a proper ride.

The ignition system was beyond repair so I had the electronic system specially made by a brilliant guy on the Isle of Wight. It works perfectly and with only one moving part, which does not connect directly to any other, it will not wear or require any routine maintenance.

The paint job I would describe as fair. The rims, spokes and tyres are new. The handlebars and exhaust have been re-chromed. The headlamp rim is no doubt original and shows it's age. It shares many parts with the Ensign and many are available from Hitchcocks Motorcycles.

It is registered as historic with the V5 in my name and is tax and MoT exempt. The registration number is not transferable.

I live in Beverley, East Yorkshire and you are very welcome to come and have a look at the bike before the auction ends.

Cash on collection please.
