Antique 1930s Art Deco Hutschenreuther Figurines, Ashtray
Wow! What a great opportunity here! Lot of three (3) art deco porcelains; 2 figurines and ashtray. All in perfect shape!
1. Marked, most likely molded by Constantin Holzer-Defanti although I can find no artist’s initials, signature or incised name. The Scheherazade figurine is an extraordinarily unique piece. I have seen this figure in full glorious color and in solid white, but never have I seen this particular glaze treatment – like a water color wash with some earthtones worked in at the base – just a lovely, overall rosy pink blush. Please take note in the photos of her left butt cheek which has a slightly rough shadowing. I’m not sure what this is – it does not come off with Goo Gone. It is possibly a kiln mark of some kind. It certainly does not detract in the least from how perfectly this delicately pastel piece displays. 7.5” tall, 3” diameter base.
2. The elegant lady figurine is US Zone. Perfect condition. Marked and initialed. 7” tall. Appx. 4” x 1.5” base.
3. Lastly the ashtray by Tutter is also a great piece. A wonderful character piece. He is appx 3.5” tall on a 5” square ashtray base.
No reserve item with low opening bid. A great opportunity to get beautiful art deco porcelains, at auction, for a fair price!
