Original Sanforized denim overalls. Well worn and nicely faded. Sooo awesome. Really sweet rolled up at ankle. The back patch pocket has hand embroidered 'boys only' and a 'kiss me'' Lucy (Charles Schultz of Peanuts) patch. The other pocket on the back side is missing the patch which is kinda cute with the faded missing patch.

They Sanforization is a process that stabilizes the fabric before it is cut by stretching and shrinking it. Named after its inventor, Sanford Lockwood Cluett, it was patented in 1930. In 1936, Blue Bell (now Wrangler) began using the method for its Super Big Ben overalls.

measures

I estimate these to be a size 4 for a 5' 3'' person. That being said, these almost fit me, I'm between a 4-6 and 5' 6''. These are very cute rolled up.

Vintage garments have a history—they are old but that's what makes them unique. Right? The construction on these old sweet girls is remarkable. I find my vintage items in all sorts of condition and I do my best to lovingly 'refurbish' my girls. I inspect each piece and sometimes take the items in to a seamstress for a minor repair. I list repairs in the description. I often times hand wash each item and then hang to dry outside. I live on the Puget Sound so you may have a fresh salt sea air small lingering on your garment. You can't find that in a bricks and mortar store :)
