The Canon Prima Shot, known as the Sure Shot Ace in the Americas and Autoboy Prisma in Japan, is a 1988 autofocus camera designed for 35mm film. It features a top panel finder which allows for the composition of low-angle shots. Additionally, the camera has an infrared remote shutter release which can be detached and used separately.

Exposure control in the Canon Prima Shot is electronically managed. It has a built-in electronic self-timer. The camera offers a metering range from EV 9 – 17 (at ISO 100) and supports a film speed range of ISO 50 – 1600 (with DX code).
