Now up for auction:

One rare vintage 1980's Roland TR-727 Rhythm Composer in good condition.  This drum machine is the cousin to the Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer, both of which are in the famous Roland TR-808 and TR-909 family of drum machines.  This was Roland's Latin percussion drum machine containing high-quality onboard samples of maracas, timbales, congas, bongo, cabasa, quijada, cowbell and more, for a total of fifteen different instrument sounds.  The TR-727 has historically been harder to find than a TR-707 and is typically more expensive.  The great thing about the 707 and the 727 is their LCD dispIay screens which show all the steps of all the instruments, all at once.  Even the mighty TR-808 and TR-909 did not have the LCD screen.  Makes programming very visual and easy.  The 727 was one of the first, if not the first, drum machines that came with Latin percussion instrument sounds onboard.  Many of these vintage drum machines have a lot of dust, especially in the faders and corners.  This TR-727 has been cleaned recently and is very clean, and has only a few cosmetic blemishes and a small chip in the back of the outer housing.  There are 10 separate 1/4" out jacks for different instrument sounds and each instrument sound has its own volume control slider (allowing separate fade in/fade out/mute possibilities) and 1/4" jack out in the rear (separate outs allow huge routing possibilities) in addition to L/R 1/4" main Stereo jacks out.  The 727 also has a trigger out jack and memory in/out jacks for loading and recording sounds on tape.  Has Midi in, out and sync jacks (Sync can be used to connect a TR-707, for instance, for massive sound with 30 instruments to choose from (707 not included, but see below).  Start/stop jack for foot pedal (pedal not included).  It comes with an aftermarket power supply.  This 727 has been tested and all pads make appropriate sounds, no loud or soft pad dropouts, basic programming showed no errors or glitches, all output jacks are fine.  Faders work fine and all fader caps are present.
The TR-727 is a rare and desirable high-quality vintage Latin percussion drum machine made by Roland Corp. in Japan.  The sounds it produces still hold up today, and this 727 has many more years left in it.  Buyer agrees to pay shipping/insurance within 3 days of winning bid.  Shipping is estimated, any shipping overcharge will be returned to buyer. Ships to continental USA only.  Get this one now, and good luck bidders!

Much like the classic TR-909, this MIDI drum machine is a classic. Used on countless pop, techno, house, new wave, synthpop, hip hop and other recordings from the mid 80s thru today. Its appearance and user interface are best compared to that of the 909. It's a great studio drum machine but also an excellent portable live tool with the ability to trigger external sounds on a MIDI sampler or synth - perfect for the gigging techno musician.
