The Minnesota Fighting Saints beat the Indianapolis Racers 9-7.  Each team scored goals in every period.

Minnesota scored 6 times in the second period.  The Racers scored 4 in the third period to get it back to 8-7.  

Mike Walton scored 2 goals and added 3 assists.  Paul Holmgren scored his first career hat trick and had an assist.  Randy Wyrozub had 2 goals and 3 assists.  Pat Stapleton and John McKenzie scored 2 goals each.  Ted Scharf scored a goal and had 3 assists.  Hall of Famer Dave Keon scored a goal along with 2 assists.  Rick Smith had a goal and assist.  Reg Thomas and Nick Harbaruk scored the other 2 goals in the game.

The teams focused on goal scoring in the game as there were only 3 minor penalties in the game all coming in the first period.
