This is a Genuine Gibson Grover “Window” Banjo Tailpiece.  These were issued on style 00, style 1, style 10, style 11 and other banjos that Gibson made during the 1930s and 1940s. This on is very rare chrome plated, not nickel model, and likely from the late 1930s or early 1940s.  

The Chrome Plating is 100% on this piece and I have taken some excellent close-up shots of it for you.  The tailpiece is unaltered and it has not been cleaned.
