Thanks for looking at my 1971 Yamaha XS1B.

I just installed:

New 3.50x19 Front & 4.00x18 Rear IRC GS11 Sport Tires plus New tubes.

New upgraded 530 "O" ring chain & front & rear sprockets.

I was going to do a full restoration on this bike, but it's way to nice of an original XS1B.

So I did a "refresh". I stripped the bike to bare frame and painted the frame with PPG 2-stage Black epoxy, the original frame lacquer paint never holds up on these bikes.

All the original hardware was cad-plated, bearings replaced or cleaned & greased, new Tapered steering head set installed & forks rebuilt.

New Cables all around & all new rubber bushes

The engine top end was removed, there was a slight head gasket leak. Everything checked out good, new rings and a fresh hone and new gaskets installed.

All of the candy gold and white body parts are original, there are a few chips and scratches to be expected for a 53 year old bike.

It still has its original Koito headlight, Takasago rims, seat cover and original clamp on mirror with the Yamaha "Tuning forks" logo on it.

Serial frame and engine numbers match, both are S650-018457.

The bike runs great, and always starts 1 or 2 kicks (kick only on the XS1 & XS1B)

There is a small dent on top of the tank, dentless body guy says it easily fixed, I just never was able to meet up with him.

There is some chrome staining on the stock mufflers and chain guard from battery acid overflow.

I recently lost some storage space and just don't have much time to ride it, I do maybe 300-400 miles a year on it.

These first 2 year "XS1" bikes are very rare to see, especially in original condition, sadly mist got made into choppers & bobbers.

The bike comes with a new AGM battery, I removed it to show condition of battery box.

I will work with your shipper no problem.

The bike is all ready, just add gas and GO!

Clear NJ Title in my name.
