Here's a great chance to get a professional wood clarinet that was the pinnacle of American design and craftsmanship.  Featuring an all new bore improvement over their 444 model that gives this clarinet power and a big sound while retaining focus with less spread for  exquisite pianos  Intonation is incredible .. with my Vandoren BD5 the tuner almost hits every note bang on.  Features  top tenon cap, locking posts, gold plated springs, integral tone holes and chimneys, curved thumb rest, extra post on trills and all the trill keys are above the water line.  I believe this was crafted in 1967 and was Conn's last attempt to take on the French makers.  Sadly although endorsed by Artie Shaw and others they couldn't compete against the cheaper French instruments.  It currently plays on a mixture of new and older pads and I would like to keep it but I have way too many clarinets and right now am in love with an old Leblanc Dynamique so sadly I am going to hope this goes to somebody who can love it.
I find it is equally fine for getting that dark German sound on Brahms or wailing on Trad Jazz.
