A rare and impressive Home Service tunic, as worn by the Drum Major of the Scots Guards when on parade. 
The tunic comes complete with the extremely rare , correct pattern S.Gds. wings, all buttons , bullion collar thistles and the correct , 4 bar rank stripes on the lower right sleeve. 
The tunic is excellent overall condition. The bullion shows only minor dulling  around the collar and the red fabric remains good and bright throughout.One small dark mark from the sword belt to the front right skirt . Very small area of wear to the edge of the tassels on the wings   photos show. 
Internally, the tunic is fully lined.
A most impressive display item. 

The size label remains in place and identifies the original wearer, who eventually made WO1 …sergeant Major

Sleeve. Approx 28 inches NB The size label says 38 inches…this is incorrect….it is 28 inches.
