Impressive Huge Sterling American Hand Hammered Centerpiece Bowl c. 1910

Presented is a handsome hand-hammered sterling silver centerpiece bowl from circa 1910 by Mt. Vernon Silversmiths. This is a large and heavy piece. The piece features scroll-form handles and an applied edge with a scrolling wave pattern and sunflowers. This would have been used as a table centerpiece or on a console table, and could be used as a large fruit bowl etc. The photographs do not do the size or the quality of this piece justice.

The underside of the base is hallmarked 'sterling' and has a maker's mark of George Washington's profile, for Mt. Vernon silversmiths.

The piece is in fabulous condition. There are no dents, no dings, no cracks, no repairs, no monograms and  no monogram removals.

The piece stands 4 1/4 inches tall. The diameter including the handles is 16 inches.

The piece weighs 1840 grams or 64.5 ounces.
