You are bidding on this unique and intriguing Chinese wood dresser box. It is in very good conditions with no nicks or cracks. 3 corners could use a smidgen of black touch up paint. A couple of light surface scratches.

The closed box is about 3 1/4” tall, about 4 5/8” wide and about 6 1/8” long. On the black painted outer surface are gold dragons on the top and gold floral designs on the two long sides.

The front of the box has a top section that has a brass clasp and a bottom section with a brass pull.

The top section opens up to reveal a maroon and gold framed mirror. The framed mirror is about 3 3/8” by 4 5/8”. No cracks in the mirror. The inside of the top compartment is lined with paper with Chinese characters. When I say lined with paper it is not just loose. It is glued to the inside surfaces. Very unique. Probably no two are the same if local paper was used.

The bottom section is a drawer for your jewelry or other small treasures. It is also lined with Chinese lettering and a caricature that looks like a restaurant scene.
