Item condition:

The item is used, and sadly currently not working. It is therefore being sold for spares or repairs. It has always been looked after and handled with care, and otherwise is in good physical condition. It comes fully boxed with all original packaging and accessories, including the stand, shading hood, cables, etc.

The monitor was working perfectly fine, until one day it just suddenly stopped working properly. There was no physical damage or anything to cause it. The screen is NOT cracked.

The problem is that the monitor displays vertical lines instead of the intended image. These lines are not static, and instead move around on-screen depending on the input signal. I've uploaded a brief video clip demonstrating the issue to the listing's photos section.

I'm no expert, but to me it's like the display signal is somehow being scrambled and turned into vertical lines. I say this since the display does vary depending on the input signal. As a layman, that seems to suggest that the pixels of the screen are still functioning. It might be possible to repair this if you have the know-how, but I don't myself and so can't make any guarantees as to what the issue is or whether it can be repaired. I simply have no idea.

Acer does offer a repair service that you could consider using. However, they charge an up-front fee before inspecting the item, and only then will they be able to estimate the actual repair cost and time. I need a computer monitor urgently for work, and so decided not to go through with this, and just ordered a brand new monitor instead. But it's an option that you could consider.
