Scanned From Cover

This famous story of D'Artagnan and the three musketeers, Porthos, Athos and Aramis, is one of the world's best-loved classics. It is woven against a backcloth of intrigue, romance and mystery in the colourful reign of King Louis XIII of France. It sparkles with swash-buckling gaiety and gallantry, it glints with the steel of flashing sword-blades, and it echoes to the hoof-beats of horses galloping through the cobbled streets of royal France. Its plot involves the protagonists in duels, kidnappings and secret missions, and it has been read with gusto for over a hundred years.
