Made from silver tone metal, steel/stainless steal
Given as a gift and passed on to me in the late 60's
I used these at school and college
These are marked as Foreign
No makers name
Tools and other imports were generally marked this way between 1893 and 1923
This followed a US law in 1893 that all imported items must be marked by the country of origin
Thus having until 1923 for complete marks, some Countries just used "Foreign" until 1923
I am not stating that these are that old, but research shows that they could be
The Compass, Divider and Extension are marked with D G
(being a previous owner)
The Dividers can also be used as a larger Compass with the adaptor
The clamping screw is missing from the Extension
This can be borrowed from the Compass when needed
One of the Drawing Board Clips is a bit pitted
The box has been stripped, cleaned and waxed, the lining has been revamped
One of the lid clasp pins has been replaced, at some time these have both been moved along
At some point in the 60's there would have been more labels on the lid
The box measures approx 188 x 102 x 30 mm
Dividers 120 mm, Compass 90 mm, Extension 85 mm
