Bukowski: Photographs 1977-1991

Hollywood, Bukskin Press, 1993. Michael Montfort. Out of Series. One of only a very few copies with the drawing by Daisy Montfort on both the book and slipcase, most copies of the book have a color photograph of Bukowski on the front.

36 pages 21 tipped in photographs by Michael Montfort, some in color, some in black & white. Folio 40x35 cm (15¾x13¾"), white boards, with reproduction of a drawing of Bukowski by Daisy Montfort on front cover and slipcase. From an edition of 100 copies (74 numbered, 26 lettered), this copy is Out of Series and therefore not numbered or lettered  but with the white endpapers of the numbered edition and the slipcase called for with the lettered edition. First Edition.

With a signed photograph of Bukowski in a rice paper envelope mounted to page 34, as issued. Signed at the colophon by Bukowski where he has added sketches of the little man and bottle, a dog, and the sun. This copy is not signed by Michael Montfort.  Provenance: The Estate of Michael Montfort.

Condition. Very Good Plus Plus/Like New Minus Minus. Light handling wear and soiling to slipcase. The reverse side has a small soiled area and the front top right corner of the photo on the slipcase cover has been glued ( see photo). Book itself is in fantastic shape. The seperate signed Bukowski photo has a small area of pressure denting (see photo). Overall a pretty cool book in amazing condition.
