Here we have a superb original Tether Car.
It's come from a long time collection.
It is modelled on the iconic Cooper 500 racing Car.
Probably dates from around 1950. (please read the email below)
Superb pressed metal body.
It measures 11 inches long (280mm) and 4.25 inches wide
(110mm).
Very nice alloy disc-style wheels with rubber tyres.
The engine turns OK with good compression.
I don't know the make of the engine,and I don't want to take the body off to find out in case I damage the paintwork.
As you can see from the photos,it is in MINT condition.
I haven't fired it up.

Regarding the Tether Car which you have for sale, I am afraid that I have to correct your assertion that it is from around 1950 !
I made this car and four others around 15-20 years ago.
I used info . given in a late 1940s book on Tether Cars. The chassis is steel and the body folded ali. the wheels are ply and brass with small ball raced hubs. The engine in your car is an Elfin 1.49.
