Presented is a fine old English Sheffield silverplate tray. This piece dates to
around the 1760s, and is true old fused plate, with thick sterling silver around
the edges. The tray is a handsome classical form, with a Chippendale or pie
crust style rim and gadrooned edge, standing on four ball and claw form feet.

This piece is in great overall condition. There is some wear to the center
portion, where it looks like a crest or monogram was removed. There are no
existing monograms, no splits, no dents, and no repairs.

The tray measures about 18 inches in diameter and stands about 1 1/2 tall at
the rim.
