Great c1830s English Porcelain Compote Pedestal Serving Bowl Sage Green Gilt

Presented is a lovely antique English porcelain compote or footed serving dish,
dating to around the 1830s. The dish was likely made by Coalport, Davenport,
Rockingham, or a similar high end maker. The dish is done in a beautiful sage
green and white with ornate gilt detailing, as well as colorful bouquets of
flowers and contrasting peach florettes around the sides. The rim of the bowl is
done in a fluted design, with gilt acanthus scroll design handles.

This piece is in good overall condition. There is some discoloration to the
interior of the bowl, and on the upper side of the base, as well as some crazing
to the glaze. The gilding has some wear , notably around the rim and the center
of the interior of the bowl. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no
repairs.

The compote measures about 12 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest point and
stands about 6 3/8 inches tall.
