For bid is an original 1941 catalog booklet from San Francisco, California: "GIFTS FROM GUMP'S 1941."  16-page catalog with reddish covers and photographs inside!  Art Deco era household and other exotic items!  Steuben glass, statues, desk sets, kitchen items, lighters, table place settings, ceramics, "Treasures from the Orient," Jade items, fashions for men and women, incredible JEWELRY (sterling silver and gold), handbags, crystal, Barware items, silver flatware, coffee and tea service, other silver household items, table glass and fine china, plus lamps and a gallery of art items.  It's an incredible catalog with wonderful black and white photography.  Probably produced before the Christmas holiday season in October or November of 1941, just before Pearl Harbor.  Inside the back cover has a short article, "Promise This to Yourself ... For 1942."
