Here is a Lionel Late Prewar #2816 Lionel Lines Hopper Car in black.
The #2816 was offered in 1939-42.
Everything on this car other than the lettering is black -- the lettering is white.

The wheels, axles, brake wheels, and journals, all black.
This #2816 hopper is relatively clean all original and has a nice patina to the finish.
The Hopper is in good condition and with minor paint chips mostly on one side.
The round handle that opens and closes the bottom chutes is missing.
A really nice item that is almost 85 years old.
