DAVID BOWIE & BING CROSBY "PEACE ON EARTH/LITTLE DRUMMER BOY" U.S. CD single of the legendary performance from 1977 TV Special "Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas". Bing pulls off a classic rendition of "Little Drummer Boy" interspersed with Bowie singing the high parts of the less familiar "Peace On Earth". (Oglio Records) OGL 85001-2. Disc plays perfectly in near MINT, jewel case, cover insert & inlay are MINT.

The unlikely duo seemed to enjoy working together on this excerpt from Bing's final TV Special in 1977. When David Bowie was first announced as a guest on the show, it was not known whether the segment would be tongue-in-cheek but both performers came across as genuine during the 4:22 that they appear on-screen together. The first 2 minutes consist of dialogue between the two stars & then the song itself takes up the final 2:22. In addition to the full length audio version, this CD-single also contains the music video of this Christmas classic. It is playable on all computers with a CD-ROM drive whether it is a Multimedia PC or a Macintosh. This CD-Single was released on the small Oglio Records label in 1995 although the 7" & 12" audio-only versions appeared on RCA- Bowie's record label at the time.
