1:43 scale Art Arfons Land Speed Record car 1969 Green Monster dragster.
In 1969 Art Arfons set a record over the 1/4 Mile at the Fort Stockton (Tx) Firestone test track of 267.85 mph (431,062 km/h) over 1/4 mile.
The car was later sold to Slick Gardner who initially ran it at Bonneville in almost identical form but with solid wheels. It never did set any other speed records.
The model is handbuilt in resin by Monza Models, and comes in an acrylic display case with a photo-etched label on the baseplate identifying the car.
