Hi there,

I am pleased to offer these new 3d printed booster transformer kits, designed by myself to closely resemble equipment seen on various lines electrified with the 25kV overhead system, such as the West Coast main line.

These kits are made from 3d printer resin and are supplied on their support platforms (as pictured) from which the funtional parts must be removed (I use small cuticle scissors), deburred with fine wet and dry then glued together and painted as desired.  - I used a coat of grey plastic primer then spray on enamal light grey and hand plaint the insulators and wires gloss brown / matte light green to represent the glazes porcelain and copper parts respectively.

They can be made up as single units or as pairs, as shown in photo 1 and 2.
All parts to make up the tower will be supplied except for the plasticard base, jewelry wire and the 3mm H beam for the top part of the portal which you will need to provide yourself and cut to the correct length for your installation.  You will then need to drill 4 small holes to thread the jewelry wire through on which to mount the insulators which support the jumper cables running from the catenary wires to the transformer.

Picture 4 shows actual parts suplied in the kit.
N.B. the parts should be removed from their sprues and assembled and painted at the soonest practical opportunity. If not being assembled they should be stored in a sealed container in a dark place away from natural light.  This is because UV is sensitive to sunlight and will warp and become brittle over time.  Once the model is fully painted the paint will prevent this.

Please check out my other listing for more bespoke BR Mk1 style catenary products.

Any questions welcome, thanks for looking and happy modelling! ;-)
