This Australian studio pottery gum nut vase by Joan Sayers is a vintage piece of art pottery. 

The vase stands at approximately 8.5cm tall and approximately 11cm at its widest, with a matte green finish and a 3D effect of gum nuts and gum leaves appearing from the surface of the vase. 

It is handmade and is a wonderful study of Australian native flora by pottery artist Joan Sayers. This beautifully formed vase with a cluster of hand sculptured gum nuts and gum leaves adorning the upper rim. The glaze captures the colours of the Australian bush with great effect, bringing the outdoors inside to any home décor.

The vase is signed by the artist and comes with an incised back stamp, adding to its authenticity. It weighs approximately 341g and is an original, late 20th-century production.
