Always loved this design so here is my play on it in a table friendly X-wing game scale of 58cm long!

This is a good compromise to allow it to be an active part in any game rather than just being a ridiculously huge table hog and dust monkey on the shelf!

like my other kits, printed in PLA with resin detail parts, if assembled as intended using 8mm x 3mm magnets it can easily be broken down into smaller components for transport and storage (let's face it, it's not the most case friendly 'miniature' design)!

you will need to purchase fourteen 8mm x 3mm magnets

I have also implemented the option of lighting into the design in the most simplest form for those who really don't like fiddling around with soldering irons.

To light this big fella up all you will need are the following..

1 x party balloon light, these are really useful little things, just turn it on and pop it in the recess above the hanger bay to light up all the tiny details!
7 x 3mm LED'S for the engines. I recommend 'bright components' here on ebay and the flickering style LED's which come pre-wired
1 x 9v battery box with switch
1 x small screw terminal

As you can see from the pictures, it's super simple. Just insert the LED'S, hot glue the wire in place where it enters the inner hull, once done twist all the negative (black) wires together and secure to the little terminal box, repeat with the positive (red) wires then connect up the battery box, all this will be hidden within the rear hull once the ship is assembled and can be easily accessed by simply removing the rear section, I have found to switch on/off you don't even need to remove from the stand!

One more handy hint is to use tinfoil in the inner cones of the engine nozzles, this gives a nice diffused and reflective effect to the LED's

This is a pretty comprehensive kit and is made to order so please allow up to a week from payment to shipping!

Remember this is a KIT and needs to be assembled and painted! The two X-wings shown escorting the ship are for scale purposes and are NOT included!

As with all 3d prints some finishing work will be required to get it to look tip top. I recommend autotek primer spray and a fine model filler. After assembly give the model a good blast, you can be quite heavy handed, work it into all the nooks and crannies then allow to dry. it won't obscure any detail and does a fantastic job of levelling out the inevitable layer lines that are sometimes visible, light sand over if required then repeat, fill any larger voids with fine filler, dry and sand, its as easy as that to prep the model for undercoat and painting. It really is what makes a good print into an outstanding model!

Thanks for looking :)
