Fantastic, vintage sign that depicts Louisville's own Churchill Downs, with the famous Twin Spires in the background on the clubhouse/grandstand building. It utilizes lenticular printing technology from the late 50's/early 60's. It gives the appearance and feeling that the horses are moving left to right and the bottle guy (who was used in their advertising in the early 60's, and perhaps a bit earlier) is moving down toward the rail slightly to the left and closer to the horses in front of him. This style of pre-psychedelic lenticular signage is really cool to gaze at. It gives you the feel of movement and motion. It's in great condition and has been well preserved over the 50+ years .14 inches x 11 inches. Vari-Vue of Mt. Vernon, NY New York was one of the biggest producers of lenticular signs. NOS, It has minor glue spots that are not noticeable unless looking for them. Please see all photos as they are part of the description
