This is a vintage 1968 Zeroids Zerak robot from Ideal Toys. It can present as complete, but is a bit damaged. It is missing the treads for the wheels on the bottom, and does not completely click together. One tab on the neck is broken off slightly, so while the head sits on the body pretty well and the one working tab helps keep it in place, it is certainly not secure and can come off relatively easily. The same is true for the tabs that hold the body together concealing the battery compartment - one is broken, and so it sits easily as it is supposed to but is not secure. The battery compartments seem clean - no residual acid - but they do have a bit of rust on the connections. It has not been tested, and presumably does not power up. The spring loaded arms still work - one triggering the other. And the "face" still rotates easily around the head full 360°.

It seems like a prime candidate for restoration, though it could be a robot donor for other ones. And it is absolutely a wonderful shelf sitter with no work needed at all. A little dirty and slightly worn in spots, but overall looks great, especially the chest control panel.
