The Ascent Of Everest, John Hunt, Hodder & Stoughton, 1953, First Edition, First Impression  

John Hunt was the Expedition leader of the first ascent of Mount Everest's summit by Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and this book is his account of that trip. 

The book is illustrated throughout with colour and black and white photographs. 

In very good condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine quite bright. The toned end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There is a small scuff mark to the top corner of the first free page. 

The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in good condition with nibbling to the top edge of the front cover, loss to the corners, marks to the front cover, a tear and nibbling to the top edge of the spine, loss and three tears to the bottom edge of the spine, two tears half way down the edge of the spine, nibbling to the top edge of the back cover and a mark to the back cover. 

Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box.
