Antique “Hires Household Extract” Embossed
Clear Aqua Glass Bottle! (Philadelphia)

Up for auction is an Antique “Hires Household Extract” Embossed Glass Bottle! This is a vintage pale aqua clear glass bottle made for a cork stopper top. Hires sold root beer and ginger ale extracts in these bottles for home use back in the early 1900s! The bottle is embossed “Hires Household ExtractFor Home UseManufactured by The Charles E. Hires Co. … Philadelphia, Pa. USA” on its four sides. It is a 3 ounce bottle measuring about 4½” tall x 1½” wide. As shown in the photos, the bottle is in very good condition for its age with nice color and sharp details. There is very little surface wear and very few (if any) manufacturing flaws. I did not see any cracks or chips in the bottle, and it is clean with a little residue inside. This antique “Hires Household Extract” bottle would make a great addition to your collection!

Take a look at the photos to best judge its condition. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the item, pictures or shipping before bidding. Please pay within 3 days of auction end, and I'll ship the bottle ASAP, usually within 2 days of payment received.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you for your business! Every item I sell is guaranteed to be as described, and I do everything possible to provide 5 STAR service. If you are satisfied, please leave 5 Star positive feedback. If you are not fully pleased, let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the transaction before leaving any feedback. Almost all items are vintage: they were purchased at estate sales/auctions, yard/garage sales or flea markets, and are sold “as found”; the history of previous ownership and storage conditions of the items is unknown, and I have no idea if a previous owner smoked or had pets. I do not accept returned items simply because you’ve changed your mind. Shipping & Handling charges are not refundable. Attention International Customers: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s Customs Office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” since US and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
