Genuine, authentic, original hand signed and inscribed card of Generalmajor Horst Niemack.

Niemack was a highly decorated German Elite Forces tank combat and infantry reconnaissance regiment commander.

Niemack was known as Commander of the Panzer Fusiller Regiment "Grossdeutschland" and previously Commander of Aufklarungs Abteilung 5 all on the Eastern Front.

Because of his military service, Niemack was awarded the Heer/Waffen SS Honour Badge, the Wound Badge in Gold, the General Assault Badge, the Heer C-I-C Honour Dokument, and the Iron Cross First and Second Class.

Niemack was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords...one of only 147 soldiers to receive this high honor during the War!  He was also mentioned one time in the Wehrmachtbericht!...another high honor!

The 4 x 6 inch white card has been inscribed: "With friendly greetings, Horst Niemack, Generalmajor a.D., and dated June 7 1978," all handwritten and signed by Niemack in blue fountain pen ink, postwar.  The signed card is in very good condition.  Along with a contemporary glossy 3.5 x 5 inch black and white photograph showing Niemack pointing to combat areas on War conference map.  I purchased these from the Petersen Collection last year.  Total: 2 items
