These Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch pull string puppets belonged to my late husband and have been stored in my home for decades.  They are in good condition and they work.  You pull the string to move the arms while you have your hand move the mouth.  Please refer to pictures and ask any questions. I am trying to find these muppets a new place to hang out.  I'm out of cookies and Oscar keeps getting in the trash.  Thank you for looking.  The Doris Closet

The Doris Closet Story

In 2010 my precious mother Doris passed away.  Shortly after her death, as we were going through her things and preparing the house for sale, my family suggested I try to sell some of her treasures on eBay, to see if they might be of value to someone new. I recalled the many times that I visited my mother, the trips to her closet to see what shoes or handbag or articles of clothing she wanted to pass along to me (she did this for all my sisters). Those trips to Doris’s Closet were such wonderful mother/daughter bonding times and I cherish them to this day.

When it was time for me to name my eBay entity, I chose The Doris Closet in memory of my dear mother.  Since 2010 I lost my husband Earl and I retired from many years of work at Disney.  My years at the house of mouse and Earl’s numerous treasures from his years at Warner Brothers Animation and Hanna Barbera have left me many treasures in need of a new, welcoming home.  I just thought you’d like to know who I am. So thank you for stopping by The Doris Closet.
