Volvo's 200 series (the 240 and 260 series) was on the market for almost 20 years after its introduction in 1974.
From the start, the model was available as a 4-cylinder 2- and 4-door sedan as well as a 5-door station wagon (242, 244 and 245) and as the 6-cylinder 4-door sedan 264. Body variants such as coupé and extended 7-seat limousine followed later. In total, more than 2.8 million 200 series were produced.
This dark blue 1:43 scale model of a long 4-door 264 TE limousine is the 37th in the series from the Editions Atlas Volvo Collection. The model car series consists of a total of 90 different models and was produced from 2011 to 2019. Originally, the series was only available for subscription to customers in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden). Later the model series also became available on subscription for customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland.
All subscribers first received the first three models in the series and then continued to receive the latest models.
There is therefore a big difference in the distribution of the individual models. The first three are of course the most widespread, while others are considerably less widespread, and are therefore also rarely seen offered for sale.
