Avon CAPE COD 1876 COLLECTION Ruby Red Sandwich Glass Fruit Dessert Bowl

DESSERT OR FRUIT BOWL from the 1876 CAPE COD COLLECTION by Avon. Reminiscent of early American pressed glass called “Sandwich Glass” with  lacy, intricate designs, fine background stippling, and brilliance which reflected the craftsmanship of its makers. Like early “Sandwich” glass,  this bowl is of great quality and heavy for its size, weighing about 9 ounces. Measures about 2” high and 5 ¼” across and is stamped Avon on the bottom. 

Condition: Excellent, like new; no chips, cracks or repairs.
