Ticket stub from a doubleheader played on 8/26/1979 at since demolished Tiger Stadium between the Seattle Mariners and the Detroit Tigers.

The Tigers swept the doubleheader 4-3 in 10 innings in the first game and 9-8 in the second game.

Steve Kemp had a huge day, going 4-5 with 2 runs scored, 3 RBI, and 2 home runs in the first game, with his 2nd home run happening in the 10th inning giving the Tigers the win.  He had 2 more hits in the second game, including his 3rd home run of the day, along with 2 more runs scored and another 2 RBI.

Jason Thompson also homered in game 1.  Willie Horton, playing as a visitor for Seattle, had 2 hits and scored a run.  Bobby Valentine, playing in his final major league season and his only season with Seattle, had his final career stolen base.

The second game featured Seattle losing the lead 3 separate times, and Detroit did it twice before eventually coming out on top.

In addition to Kemp, Bill Stein, Ruppert Jones, Willie Horton, and Champ Summers homered in the second game.  Summers home run was a pinch-hit HR.

Horton had 2 hits, scored a run, and drove in 2.  His home run was his final Tiger Stadium home run.

Ron LeFlore had a hit, scored twice, and stole 2 bases.  Alan Trammell had a hit, scored twice, and drove in 2.

It was the first season of Sparky Anderson being the Tigers' manager.
