2 x Douwe Egberts coffee mugs by Royal Raja
Both have the red Douwe Egberts seal with "anno 1753" which was when the company was founded in the Netherlands
They are a matching pair and have naive artwork decoration of village life with what looks like someone harvesting something (it could be coffee) , people playing football , a lady cooking in front of a hut
By each handle it is marked "Joseph Musisi , 14 jaar" - "jaar" is "year" in Dutch so could this decoration be based on his drawings?
Both measure 3.5 inches tall x 3.25 inches across the top tapering to just over 2 inches at the base
Each base is marked "Royal Raja" and "Plan be a part of it"
Both are in very good condition with no chips , cracks or staining and hardly any signs , if at all , of utensil wear to the insides -- the decoration is also in very good condition --- they have probably seen very little or very light use
Please see all photos as they make up a large part of the description -- any white areas are from the camera flash -- the mugs are fine
Dispatched by Royal Mail Tracked 48 --- wherever possible the packing box and packing are recycled / reused materials
