This is a large handmade American Indian papoose doll on a backboard, made by artisan Little Sue in the United States. The doll represents the Iroquois tribe and is part of the Native American: US culture. The ownership history is not available. Crafted with real wooden backboard, leather, fur and glass beads and eyes. Leather fringe and beads adorn the bottom, sides and front. Large brass tacks along the perimeter of the backboard. Hand crafted with attention to every detail. This measures 12” across the top, and 27” in length. A beautiful addition to any American Indian doll collection.
