Chrysler Partial Employee Badge Blank

What?  - This piece had me a little puzzled -  Looked like an employee badge for Chrysler circa 1920s 1930's -  However it did not have the center cut out (where employee number was placed), did not have the celluloid backing with pin, and mainly, to my knowledge Chrysler never had a plant named " Dominion"

After a bit of research, I found there was a badge company in Canada by the name of Dominion Regalia.  It seemed likely that perhaps this was a salesman sample or test blank for the Chrysler Badge.  Well, Dominion Regalia is still in business today so I reached out to them. ( A photo of name redacted email attached)  It seems more probable than not this was indeed a sample from them as they produced this type of badge up until the 1940's-  Not 100% proof, but I think the greater weight of the evidence suggests this is the case.  You decide for yourself..

Note: not a complete badge - complete badge would have a backing and a pin ( you can search ebay for Chrysler employee badge and see examples) - This one is just the metal blank -  Is stamped Dominion which was not a plant and is solid where employee number goes - 1.5" diameter and shows wear with age.
