Superb Georgian Silver Nutmeg Grater Possibly by John Touliet Birmingham 1802.
Super quality with steel rasp & twin lids, one revealing the rasp & the other a storage compartment for the nutmeg.
Excellent age related condition with no damage or repair & has the most wonderful dark grey patina formed over decades of being left unused in a drawer, could be easily polished if required, but really should be left as is, really wonderful example & has clearly seen much less than usual use.
Both lids are perfect & fit perfectly also.
Fully hallmarked as pictured for Birmingham 1802 & with the makers mark IT possibly for
John Touliet.
Beautiful & very tactile item offered with no reserve.
