It has the Motion Plus feature built in which is required for some games (like Wii Sports Resort, Zelda Skyward Sword) and enhances many other Wii games and they are needed for ALL Wii u games.
The battery cover is OEM Nintendo brand and the color will match the back of the controller as well. :)
