An extremely rare example of a skeleton laced pattern Home Service tunic, badged to aLieutenant of the Grenadier Guards .
These tunics were only issued as an austerity measure for a short period during World War 1 and only displayed  a so -called  skeleton version of the usual gold embroidery on the collar, cuffs and skirt.
Complete with all correct pattern George V king s crown buttons and silver bullion rank stars.
Sadly, the tunic displays various moth nips and chomps     photos show. The bullion is universally dulled down. Also, for some reason, one of the balls to the collar grenade has been removed?no idea why.
If you want a mint item , this is not the one, but it is , nonetheless, a rare tunic, examples of which almost never come up for sale.
