TOWLE  SILVERSMITHS

HISTORY & STYLE

Bring the flavor of luxury to every meal with “Old Master” Sterling Silver Flatware by Towle Silversmiths.

Created by Harold E. Nock in 1942, the pattern was inspired by the Old Victorian tradition of exquisite detail and exceptional artistry in fine silver craft. The perfect synthesis of luxury and functionality, “Old Master” has earned the distinction of the only American flatware pattern honored with the designation of 'Good Design' by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. This prestigious accolade underscores the set's timeless elegance and superior craftsmanship, helping to solidify Towle’s reputation as a name synonymous with excellence. Of the many iconic patterns produced by Towle Silversmiths since its doors opened in 1857, none more perfectly embodies the upscale polish and suave courtesy of a bygone era.

The "Old Master" flatware set serves not only as a functional dining utensil but also as a symbol of status, taste, and an appreciation for the finer things. Its ornate adornment and graceful lines pay homage to traditional aesthetics, while the delicate balance of intricate flourishes and polished surfaces adds a touch of sophistication to any table setting. Sitting down to a table set with “Old Master'' revives the nostalgic charm of an era when dinners were opulent occasions, garnished with sumptuous attire.

Whether adorning a formal dining table or elevating everyday meals, "Old Master" complements any décor with its timeless appeal. With its enduring stylishness and impeccable quality, "Old Master" stands as a testament to Towle Silversmiths' legacy of excellence and artistry. Transcending mere functionality, "Old Master" flatware is an embodiment of artistry and tradition.

The weight of the utensils is impeccably balanced, offering a comfortable and satisfying grip with every use. Fiddle shaped stems exude elegance, maintaining a sense of harmony and symmetry throughout the set.

From intimate family gatherings to grand soirées, this sterling silver flatware set brings a taste of grandeur and refinement to any occasion.

PROFESSIONAL POLISHING, CLEANING, PACKING, SHIPPING

Here at US Coins, we take great pride in providing excellent service to our customers.

That might be why we have such a loyal following!

We hand polish each and every piece of flatware using a jewelers' wheel, then we carefully complete the polishing process using a silver polishing solution, so every piece of flatware ships at its best. While most vendors charge $5-7 to polish EACH PIECE, we include this FREE as part of our effort to give our customers' an experience as positive as our silver is shiny. When the set is delivered to you, it is ready for immediate use and enjoyment!

Each and every set is packaged by hand. We have a dedicated staff member who is skilled at packaging fine silver for shipping.  He painstakingly places each piece in its own poly bag, then carefully packs everything in a sturdy carton, layering it and cushioning it to distribute the weight and to prevent damage.  Finally, your silver is shipped well insured.

Why go through all this effort?

Because we want you to love your silver as much as we do!

We want US Coins to be your favorite source for vintage and antique fine silver

WHO WE ARE, and WHY WE’RE YOUR BEST CHOICE

ENI (Eastern Numismatics Inc.) is a multi-generational, family-run company that began in 1974.

We're a merchant you can trust!

We give honest appraisals when buying,

and we sell at a fair price.

We do our best to make vintage silver, antiques, jewelry, and other items available for a reasonable price.

We want our customers to complete their purchase happy with their item and the price they paid to get it!

We love to buy silver and gold, and know the challenges and pitfalls that might come with other sellers.

So, as buyers ourselves, we follow the golden rule:

We treat YOU how WE would want to be treated.
