When the Honda PACIFIC COAST debuted in 1989, it was considered a radical bike.  Today, it is a piece of motorcycle history.  It’s 800cc, 3-valve per cylinder V-twin completely enclosed beneath its clean bodywork.  The entire bike is designed for rider convenience and ease of operation.  Truly one of the most comfortable bikes we have ridden!

Blue Cat Motorcycle offers this very nice example with just over 21,000 miles on the clock.  Two new Dunlop K555 tires have been installed, and thorough systems checks and a full service were performed, including a full engine tune-up, with all fluids changed, new spark plugs, and air filter.  The fuel system and brakes were found to be In good working order, and the interior of the fuel tank was found to be clean.  The bike starts and runs well, and is ready to ride to the grocery store or the pacific coast.  Original owner’s manual and extra air filter included.

Unlike other motorcycles that offer detachable side or top cases for storage, the PACIFIC COAST has an integral waterproof trunk under the passenger seat. A single trunk lid hinges upward to reveal two storage areas that straddle the rear wheel — with sufficient capacity to carry two full-face helmets and two medium-sized gym bags, or two grocery bags.  Like a hatchback car, the trunk lid is held up by a hydraulic strut and is controlled by a release mechanism under the lockable fuel filler door. This motorcycle is literally a grocery-getter.

This 1989 model is one of only 7164 units that were produced in this first production year.  Between 1989 and 1998, Honda only produced a total of 15,398 of these unique machines. Compared to the 100 million step-through Honda Cubs produced, the PACIFIC COAST is a rare Honda motorcycle.  It is certain to start conversations anywhere you go!
