Since these were hand made they differ slightly in shape however measure approximatley 4.5" tall, 5" wide across the top, and 2 3/8" wide across the base. The Viking color is Pink the pattern is leaf. The color and shape are beautiful and they would make a great addition to any Viking or art glass collection. They would also be a beautiful and functional addition to any spring or summer table setting.
Viking Glass Company's 'Epic' line of glassware, began in the 1950s and was in production until the late 1980s. The slightly larger version of this Leaf compote is shown on page 3 of the 1976-1977 Viking Catalog. The Epic Leaf Vase Compote was made in 2 sizes, the small one (as shown above) was 4.5 inches tall and has a 2 3/8" base. The larger was 5.5 inches tall and had a 3 inch base. The Pink color was introduced in 1980 as part of "Viking's Spring Blossoms" collection which included several pastel colors like Crystal, Pink, Blue, Lilac, Yellow and Green Frost.
