This is a rare c1910-20 vintage White Star Line first class torquoise Wisteria pattern demitasse coffee cup&saucer.This is an unusual and rare variant using the entwined White Star Line sepia colour lettering on both the cup and saucer.It is manufactured and retailed by Stonier&Co Ltd Liverpool and this originally came from the R.M.S.Majestic although it was also used on board both the “Olympic and the “Titanic”.It was purchase off a family who worked for the White Star Line around the WW1 period and this was the ship they served on.It is in a good condition with just one edge chip to the saucer (measuring 1cm long x 6mm wide) and it has an excellent unworn transfer pattern and perfect gilding and would be well worth a professional repair.The saucers overall measurements are 10.8cm in diameter x 2.1cm deep.The cup is in a good but damaged condition with three hairline cracks all interconnected and the tiniest of chips to the base edge(3mmx2mm)and like the cup would be well worth a professional repair and it’s measurements are 5.7cm in diameter x 6cm tall.
